Kenya

Every child carries a dream. In Korogocho, Kenya, that dream often depends on whether one adult chooses to show up — and we believe you could be that adult.

The Reality

In the informal settlements (slums) of Korogocho, Mathare, and Babadogo, Kenya, thousands of children go without a reliable meal, a safe place to sleep, a reasonable means to education, or an adult who believes in their future. Mathare alone is home to nearly 1 million people, packed into a neighborhood just 1 mile wide and 3 miles long. Without intervention from our team, that story will not change on its own.

Our Part in It

Going on two decades, CSLC has walked alongside these children and their families, not with pity, but with a plan to help. Through soccer, chess, classrooms, and Sunday meals, our coaches and mentors show up every week to say: you are seen, you are valued, you have purpose.

How We Walk With Them

Soccer & Chess

Soccer & Chess

More than 25,000 kids participate on soccer teams and in local leagues each week, learning teamwork, character, focus, and resilience. More than 3,000 kids actively learn and play chess, learning to think and solve problems under pressure.

Porridge of Hope

Porridge of Hope

Warm porridge and a listening ear served each Sunday in Korogocho — often the only full meal a child gets all week. Five slum areas are served each week, with over 5,000 meals served last year.

Church without Walls

Church without Walls

Faith, prayer community, and mentorship carried directly onto the fields before each Sunday soccer match. More than 250 attend each week, with 200–300 baptisms a year and 200 bibles provided to new believers.

Schools for Hope

Schools for Hope

150 of the most vulnerable kids actively participate in full-time school, building confidence, life skills, and hope. Mentoring and tutoring are available to all.

Are You Ready to Be Part of Their Future?

Every child is dreaming of a life beyond their circumstances. You could be the reason one of those dreams comes true. No pressure. No pitch. Just an honest conversation about hope, and how you can help us get there together.

Start with a conversation. Meet Harry.
