Why We Exist

Helping others help others.

Field of Hope Foundation exists to create opportunity, strengthen communities, and multiply the impact of people who are already making a difference. We believe lasting change starts with the people already closest to it — not with outsiders arriving with their own plan, but with local leaders who already have the relationships, the credibility, and the calling. Our job is to come alongside them, invest in what they're already building, and help it grow further and last longer.

Purpose & Values

Our purpose is to identify, invest in, and curate uniquely positioned and impactful sports ministry leaders and organizations around the world, that with our help, can transform their local impoverished community now and for eternity.

Our Story

Field of Hope Foundation began with a simple observation: some of the most effective ministry in under-resourced communities around the world was already happening, led by people who knew their communities best — it just needed a partner willing to invest in it for the long haul. What started as a handful of volunteers supporting one sports ministry leader has grown into an all-volunteer foundation dedicated to finding, resourcing, and walking alongside partners like our communities in Kenya and Rwanda.

How We Work

We keep our approach simple, because the leaders we support don't need another layer of complexity — they need a partner they can count on.

Identify

We look for sports ministry leaders and organizations already doing faithful, effective work in under-resourced communities — people with the relationships and credibility that can only be earned on the ground.

Invest

We provide funding, resources, and encouragement so our partners can expand what's already working, rather than starting programs of our own from scratch.

Multiply

We stay in it for the long term, so the impact of every partnership compounds — more children reached, more families strengthened, more communities transformed.

Why Sports Ministry

Sports bring people together across every barrier — age, income, language, and background. A soccer field or a chess table is a natural gathering place, and that makes it one of the most effective doorways into discipleship, education, and community development that we've seen. Our community partners in Nairobi and Kigali use football, chess, creative arts, weekly feeding programs, and vocational skills training to reach children and families who might never walk through the doors of a traditional program — but who show up for a game, and stay for so much more.

Our Values

Stewardship

All Field of Hope leadership and staff serve as volunteers — no director's fees are paid — so as much of every dollar as possible reaches our community partners.

Integrity

We have thoroughly vetted each community partner over a period of years. We consistently mentor, train, and visit the leaders. Any resource provided will be stewarded with great care.

Compassion

We see and know the people behind every program — we know the love and compassion that they have for every child, family, and community we're invited to serve alongside.

Eternal Perspective

We invest in what transforms lives now and for eternity, trusting that the work God has already started is worth multiplying.
